Air Serbia has launched direct flights between Belgrade and Tenerife, the largest island in the Canary Islands, operating twice a week. Flights depart Belgrade on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with return flights on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Tenerife becomes the airline's seventh destination in Spain, joining Madrid, Barcelona, Málaga, Palma de Mallorca and Alicante.

Boško Rupić, General Manager, Commercial & Strategy at Air Serbia, said the launch continues the airline's expansion in Spain, adding that strong passenger interest showed clear demand for a direct link to the Canary Islands.

Tenerife is known for its landscapes, sandy beaches, Teide National Park with Spain's highest peak, black-sand beaches, whale- and dolphin-watching, and hiking trails. Popular sites include the village of Masca, Anaga Rural Park and San Cristóbal de La Laguna, whose historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

On 30 September, Air Serbia will further expand its Spanish network with direct flights between Belgrade and Seville, bringing the total number of Spanish destinations served from Belgrade to eight.
