Leonardo Hotels & Resorts Mediterranean opened its first property in Nicosia on October 21, the 71-room Leonardo Boutique Hotel Venetian Nicosia, located near the historic Venetian Walls with access to the Old Town, Ledra Street and Eleftheria Square.

The hotel includes the Root & Rind Restaurant, the outdoor Conservatory dining area, a Smoothie Factory and a Lobby Bar. It also offers a meeting room for up to eight people, a fitness centre and complimentary Wi-Fi, catering to both leisure and business travellers.

"The opening of Leonardo Boutique Hotel Venetian Nicosia marks another significant milestone in the continued growth and diversification of our portfolio in Cyprus and Greece," said Roni Aloni, Managing Director of Leonardo Hotels in Cyprus and Greece.

The Nicosia opening follows the June launch of NALU Latchi by Leonardo Limited Edition, a five-star beachfront resort in Cyprus developed through an 87-million-euro investment. The group's presence now stands at an estimated 17 hotels across Cyprus and Greece, including six in Greece and 11 in Cyprus.

As we reported separately, Leonardo Hotels has also acquired two properties in Germany, pointing to parallel expansion by the group in other markets.
