Cayo Exclusive Resort & Spa, located in Plaka, Elounda, overlooking the island of Spinalonga, has joined the Mar-Bella Collection portfolio, alongside the existing properties MarBella, Nido and Avali in Corfu, and Elix on the Greek mainland. This marks the company's first entry into Crete.

The resort features 117 rooms, suites and villas across 11 accommodation categories, all with sea views and most with private pools, set on a 35,600 square metre property.

Periklis Gompakis, Chief Commercial Officer of Mar-Bella Collection, said: "We are delighted to welcome Cayo to Mar-Bella Collection and to expand our footprint into Crete for the first time."

Guests can access five restaurants, three bars, a spa, and activities including hiking, cycling, cooking classes and excursions to Spinalonga and Agios Nikolaos. The property also has a conference centre and wedding facilities.

The company plans to introduce a family offering, with dedicated adults-only and family zones, along with a new kids' club to complement the existing playground.
