Apartment price growth slows to 5.5% in Q2 2026

Bank of Greece data show apartment prices rose 5.5% in Q2 2026, a slower pace than in 2024-2025.

According to preliminary Bank of Greece data, apartment prices in Greece rose 5.5% in the second quarter of 2026 compared with the same period of 2025. This rate is lower than the average annual increase of 8.3% recorded in 2025 and 9.1% in 2024.

By age of property, new apartments (up to five years old) saw prices rise 6.2%, while older ones rose 5.0%. In 2025, the corresponding rates were 7.8% and 8.6%.

By region, price growth stood at 5.0% in Athens, 4.7% in Thessaloniki, 5.4% in other large cities and 7.1% in the rest of the country. In 2025, the corresponding annual increases were 6.6%, 9.7%, 10.3% and 9.6%.

For urban areas nationwide, prices in the second quarter of 2026 were up 5.3% compared with the same quarter of 2025, while the average annual increase for 2025 had been 7.9%.
