Brown Hotels announced five new projects in Aegina, Corfu, Athens and Nea Makri, with completion planned by 2028.
Brown Hotels is moving forward with five new projects in Greece, combining new properties, expansions and renovations, with completion planned by 2028. Since its acquisition by Israel Canada Hotels in 2025, the company has invested around €30 million in Greece.
In Aegina, Brown will manage the under-construction Aurablu Aegina, a 58-room seaside resort in Agia Marina, set to open in May 2027. The property will feature a rooftop pool, three dining venues, a spa and event spaces.
In Corfu, Ionian Crown Suites in Barbati will expand gradually from 21 suites in 2026 to 76 units in 2027 and 177 by the end of 2028, adding private villas. In Nea Makri, a 160-room seaside hotel will be renovated by 2027, gaining a new all-inclusive program, a Kids Club and upgraded dining facilities.
In Athens, Brown Theatrou, a four-star boutique hotel with 49 rooms, is planned to open in 2027 on Theatrou Street. It will be followed by the Lykourgou Hotel, housed in a neoclassical building with 34 rooms, opening in 2028 due to a longer licensing process. Meanwhile, the acquisition process for Marathon Beach Resort, where the company provided consulting services this year, is underway.
According to CEO Spyros Ioannou, 2026 revenues rose 7.6% compared to 2025, with EBITDA up 9.7%. Reuven Elkes, CEO of Israel Canada Hotels, said the Greek expansion is accompanied by growth abroad, with seven hotels in Germany and one 148-room property in Milan.
