Construction begins on Atari Hotels' debut property in Phoenix

Intersection Development has begun construction on Atari Hotels' first property on Roosevelt Row in Phoenix, set to open by early 2029.

Construction has begun on Atari Hotels' debut property on Roosevelt Row in Phoenix, with completion targeted for early 2029. The project is led by Intersection Development.

The hotel will feature high-tech guest rooms, creator studios, an e-sports and concert venue for more than 2,000 people, a sportsbook, as well as bars, restaurants and shopping. The first phase of the project focuses on preparing the site for construction. Partners involved include celebrity investor Henry Cejudo and Adapt.

"We're pressing 'start' on Atari Hotels' Phoenix property, bringing our vision for the first-of-its-kind venue closer to reality," said Jordan Taylor, partner at Intersection Development.

The property marks the first entry of gaming brand Atari into hospitality. It is being designed by architecture studio räkkhaus under an exclusive license from Atari.

"We believe in Intersection Development's vision to create something that speaks to gaming as a consistent pillar of pop culture," said Wade Rosen, chairman and CEO of Atari.

The announcement follows another Phoenix hotel project, after Aperture Hotels' recent acquisition of the Ellis building for conversion into a boutique property.
