dormakaba to acquire UK hospitality software firm Alliants
Swiss access-solutions group dormakaba has agreed to acquire UK guest experience software firm Alliants, used across over 100,000 hotel rooms.
dormakaba has signed a binding agreement to acquire Alliants, a UK guest experience software company whose technology is used across more than 100,000 hotel rooms worldwide. Financial terms were not disclosed, and the deal is expected to close this year, subject to regulatory approval.
Founded in 2009 in Southampton, Alliants develops software and managed services covering the guest journey from pre-arrival onward, including concierge services, contactless check-in, mobile key functionality, payments, messaging and agentic AI tools.
Through the acquisition, dormakaba aims to link physical access control with digital guest engagement, offering hotels an integrated system spanning access, engagement and operations.
dormakaba CEO Till Reuter said hotel owners and operators "increasingly view access and guest experience as part of the same strategy." Alliants founder and CEO Tristan Gadsby said "access and guest experience stopped being separate problems some time ago."
Both companies said they will remain interoperable with other providers across the hotel technology stack.
