Environmental approval granted for 612-bed hotel in Ermioni

The Decentralized Administration of Peloponnese approved environmental terms for a 3-star hotel at Ermioni's "Kopreza or Theriza" site.

The Decentralized Administration of Peloponnese, Western Greece and Ionian approved the environmental terms for the construction and operation of a 3-star hotel with a capacity of 612 beds at the "Kopreza or Theriza" site in the Municipality of Ermionida. The project's operator is ERIGON Μ.Α.Ε.

The complex will be developed on a plot of 80,521.36 sq.m. about 4 kilometers from the settlement of Ermioni, with total built area of 10,722.94 sq.m. in single and two-story buildings, with no underground spaces. The design is organized into 3 distinct "neighborhoods" on either side of a small seasonal stream, which will be preserved as a central green zone. The plan includes 16 accommodation buildings and 10 independent residences, with 8 rooms for people with disabilities.

Water supply will be provided by the desalination unit of the neighboring Scarlet hotel, owned by the project operator's parent company. A tertiary wastewater treatment unit using membrane technology is also planned for water reuse in irrigation, along with a 195 kW photovoltaic system with 500 kWh battery storage.

The approval sets conditions for adapting the buildings to the natural terrain and limiting excavations, with supervision by specialized personnel as directed by the Ephorate of Antiquities of Argolis. The environmental terms are valid for 15 years, with an annual monitoring program.
