G6 Hospitality brings Studio 6 Plus to the Northeast US
G6 Hospitality signed a five-hotel deal with Kautilya Group for Studio 6 Plus, starting with two properties in Hartford, Connecticut.
G6 Hospitality, parent company of Motel 6 and Studio 6, announced a five-hotel development agreement with Kautilya Group for the Studio 6 Plus brand, marking the brand's debut in the Northeast.
The agreement begins with two new-construction Studio 6 Plus hotels in the Hartford, Connecticut market. Both properties are currently in planning, with construction targeted to begin in the first quarter of 2027. Additional locations under the agreement will be announced as plans advance.
Each hotel is planned with 118 guestrooms, including king rooms, double queens and suites, in a four-story interior-corridor building designed around the needs of extended-stay guests. Rooms include full kitchens and storage space, with digital check-in central to the guest experience.
Gary Patel, chairman and CEO of Kautilya Group, said the product is "purpose-built new-construction... with an efficient design, a lean operating model and a strong focus on durability and long-term profitability."
Studio 6 Plus was introduced in April 2026 and now has a pipeline of 25 hotels, following a May agreement with Natson Hotel Group for 18 additional properties.
