Hotel Indigo Raleigh Opens After $36 Million Renovation
The 1969 building has reopened as a 204-room boutique hotel, with a new 20th-floor bar.
Hotel Indigo Raleigh has opened following a $36 million renovation. The 204-room boutique hotel occupies a building originally constructed in 1969, whose architecture was preserved during the renovation.
The interiors, designed by New York-based firm Inc., were inspired by the building's curved footprint, combining geometric patterns with works by North Carolina artists. The 20th floor houses High Ground Lounge, a bar and restaurant offering city views and Southern cuisine.
"This building has been part of Raleigh's story for generations, and we're incredibly proud to welcome guests and our neighbors back through its doors," said Carlos Faz, general manager of the hotel.
The architectural renovation, led by ESa, opened up the ground floor to create a light-filled community space, including a vintage Airstream courtyard coffee bar and reimagined event spaces. The property is owned by Tidal Real Estate Partners, which acquired the building in 2021, and is managed by Sage Hospitality Group.
