IHG Hotels & Resorts has surpassed 1,000 operating hotels in Europe, with more than 280 additional properties under development.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has surpassed the milestone of 1,000 operating hotels in Europe, while maintaining a pipeline of more than 280 properties under development. The group added over 210 hotels to its European network over the past three years, an increase of more than 25%. Since the start of 2024, IHG has carried out 36 openings marking the first entry of specific brands into new national markets.

Recent additions include The Hari London under the Vignette Collection brand, the Ruby Lilou Hotel Marseille marking the entry of the Ruby brand into France, and Crowne Plaza Vienna, with interiors designed by architect David Chipperfield. Vignette Collection now counts 13 operating hotels in Europe with 16 more in development, while Crowne Plaza has 98 hotels and 21 under development.

Spain remains a key market for the group, with 69 operating hotels and 19 under development, including recent additions such as Holiday Inn Express & Suites Barcelona-Sabadell and Casa del Compositor in Jerez de la Frontera.

The acquisition of Ruby strengthened IHG's position in city lifestyle hotels, while the launch of the new Noted Collection brand brought the group's total number of brands worldwide to 21, with seven hotel agreements already secured for it.
