Intracom secures permit for five-star hotel in Koufonissia

A building permit has been issued for the renovation and expansion of a hotel into a five-star, 100-bed unit in Ano Koufonissi.

Intracom Holdings is advancing its investment plan in Koufonissia after obtaining a building permit for the renovation and expansion of an existing hotel into a five-star, 100-bed unit at Agios Georgios, Ano Koufonissi.

The permit, issued by the Building Department of the Municipality of Naxos and Small Cyclades, allows for new buildings and a basement. The existing 308.33 sqm of construction will be increased by 1,472.51 sqm, bringing total construction to 1,780.84 sqm on a plot of 8,177.31 sqm. The complex will have two floors, with a maximum height of 7.5 meters.

This is one of two hotel projects the group is pursuing on the island. The second involves a new 63-bed beachfront property at Ammouda, on privately owned land. The combined budget for both projects is estimated at over €55 million, with the new property alone expected to exceed €20 million. The project has secured co-financing from Recovery Fund resources.

Separately, subsidiary Banner Estate has completed the design of a three-star, 125-room hotel unit in Ano Mera, Mykonos, intended for staff accommodation, with the licensing process currently underway.
