Marriott names Alok Dixit GM ahead of 2027 W Manchester opening

Marriott International has announced the appointment of Alok Dixit as general manager for W Manchester and W Residences, ahead of the property's planned opening in 2027. Dixit brings more than 25 years of hospitality experience and joins from London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square, where he helped strengthen the hotel's position in Mayfair's upmarket market.

Throughout his career he has held leadership roles at properties including London Marriott Regents Park and The London EDITION, with a focus on team development and business growth.

"I am thrilled to be joining W Manchester and W Residences and to be part of bringing such an exciting new destination to life," Dixit said.

W Manchester and W Residences will occupy the 43-storey tower of Relentless Developments' St Michael's scheme in Manchester city centre, with opening planned for 2027. It will be the brand's third UK property, following W London and W Edinburgh.
