Minor Hotels names GM for new Mayfair hotel opening
Marco Ercolano has been named pre-opening general manager of The WestDill Mayfair Hotel London, the new Colbert Collection property.
Minor Hotels has announced the appointment of Marco Ercolano as pre-opening general manager of The WestDill Mayfair Hotel London, Colbert Collection. The announcement comes as the global hospitality group prepares to introduce its Colbert Collection brand to the UK market with its second global flagship property.
Ercolano has nearly 20 years of experience in London's luxury hotel sector, specialising in operations and F&B management. He has held senior roles at St Ermin's Hotel, The Trafalgar St James, Canopy by Hilton London City, The Ritz London and Bulgari Hotel and Residences London.
In his new role, he will oversee operational and commercial strategy ahead of the property's opening. He said: "I am honoured to lead the opening of The WestDill Mayfair, a project that brings together London's heritage, contemporary culture and the Colbert Collection's soulful approach to hospitality."
The Colbert brand launched in March 2026 as a soft brand for independent premium hotels, offering owners distribution, revenue technology and a loyalty programme while preserving each property's identity. In April 2026, Minor named Royal Group as development partner for the project, marking the Singaporean property company's European debut. The hotel is expected to open in the final quarter, inside a 1922 Piccadilly bank building designed by Sir William Curtis Green.
