Mykonos ranked world's second most beautiful summer city
A Premier Inn study using eye-tracking technology ranked Mykonos Town second among 60 cities worldwide.
Hotel chain Premier Inn compiled a ranking of the world's most beautiful summer cities, using eye-tracking technology on photographs from more than 60 cities. The study measured how quickly participants noticed each image and how long their gaze lingered on it.
Banff, Canada, came first with a score of 96.0 out of 100, with participants viewing the city's photograph for an average of 3.2 seconds, the longest viewing time in the study.
Mykonos Town placed second with an overall score of 87.3 out of 100. The Greek town was the one that captured participants' attention fastest of all, taking just 1.5 seconds to be noticed.
Sydney, Australia, followed with 85.6 out of 100, then Bruges, Belgium, with 84.1, and Bristol, United Kingdom, with 83.7. The top 30 includes five UK cities and four German cities, with European destinations dominating the overall list with 19 entries.
