Namron Hospitality adds La Valise Bacalar to its Mexican collection

La Valise Bacalar will open on the shores of Laguna Bacalar inside protected jungle, becoming the sixth property in the La Valise collection.

Namron Hospitality has announced that it is adding a new property, La Valise Bacalar, to its La Valise collection, located on the shores of the Lagoon of Seven Colours in Mexico. The site sits within thirty-six hectares of protected jungle connecting two nature reserves, with more than ninety percent of the land remaining untouched.

Low-impact updates will be made this year to the wellness areas, rooftop, cenote-style pool and lagoon deck. The property's architecture was designed by Mexican architect Frida Escobedo, featuring timber treehouse suites and villas raised on stilts above the forest floor.

La Valise Bacalar joins the brand's existing properties in Mexico City, Tulum, San Miguel de Allende, Mazunte and Los Cabos. The collection began when founder and CEO Yves Naman converted a 1920s townhouse in Mexico City into the original La Valise.

Namron will introduce the culinary, service and experiential elements that define La Valise, placing greater emphasis on the lagoon and jungle setting. Dining will follow a jungle-to-table approach across three open-air venues, using ingredients grown in the on-site Kanché gardens.
