New 31-room 360 Hotel opens in South Iceland

A family-owned 31-room boutique hotel has opened in South Iceland, offering geothermal wellness and a farm-to-fork restaurant.

360 Hotel has opened on farmland in South Iceland, one hour from Reykjavík and 15 minutes from Selfoss. Owned by two Icelandic families, it comprises 31 individually designed rooms and suites, combined with geothermal wellness and seasonal cuisine.

The location serves as a base for exploring the Golden Circle, the South Coast and Vík, with longer trips possible towards Jökulsárlón. Rooms range from 27-square-metre Terrace Rooms to the 100-square-metre two-bedroom 360 Suite.

Interior designer Guðbjörg Anna Árnadóttir, sister of one of the owners, drew inspiration from older Icelandic buildings. Guestrooms have no televisions, but each features a poster inspired by Rafskinna, a 1932 ‘magic book’ created by the grandfather of one of the owners.

The 80-seat Hnaus Restaurant is run by chef Hinrik Örn Lárusson, Icelandic Chef of the Year 2024, using ingredients from neighbouring farms. The hotel also offers a Northern Lights wake-up notification service.
