New general manager named for Oxford Witney Hotel ahead of JdV by Hyatt reopening
InnPractice has named Himadri Bhattacharjee general manager of Oxford Witney Hotel, which is being refurbished to reopen under the JdV by Hyatt brand.
UK hospitality management company InnPractice has announced the appointment of Himadri Bhattacharjee as general manager of Oxford Witney Hotel, ahead of its reopening under the JdV by Hyatt brand. Bhattacharjee has more than a decade of experience across hotel chains including IHG, Hilton and Marriott, with a background in pre-openings, multimillion-pound refurbishments and repositioning projects.
The hotel is being refurbished under a franchise agreement between owner CL Capital and a Hyatt affiliate. It will include 130 guest rooms, a restaurant and bar, and event spaces accommodating up to 90 guests. The design and guest experience will draw on Witney's heritage in wool and blanket-making, combined with the aesthetic of the Arts and Crafts movement.
Graham Norris, managing partner at InnPractice, said: "We are delighted to welcome Himadri to InnPractice. He brings the combination of operational discipline, commercial understanding and people-focused leadership that this important project requires."
