Oberoi Hotels & Resorts has unveiled details of The Oberoi Sukoonvilas, Wadi Safar, a resort currently under development in Wadi Safar, located approximately 30 minutes from Riyadh and close to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of At-Turaif in Diriyah.
The resort is scheduled to welcome guests in the first quarter of 2027 and will be the first hotel to open in Wadi Safar. Set atop a 70-metre escarpment and spread across more than 37 acres, it will feature 60 standalone villas and 10 branded residences, inspired by Najdi architecture.
The resort has been designed by Aedas, with interiors by Blink. It will include multiple dining venues, including one curated by chef Rohit Ghai, as well as an ASMI by Oberoi wellness programme and a 65-metre infinity pool overlooking Wadi Safar.
Jerry Inzerillo, Group CEO of Diriyah Company, said the opening of The Oberoi Sukoonvilas "will mark an important milestone for Wadi Safar as the first hotel to welcome guests to this extraordinary destination." Vikram Oberoi, CEO of Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, said the resort "has been thoughtfully conceived as a sanctuary of understated luxury."
