PHĀEA to rebrand Blue Palace as Rosewood, Village Heights as Hilton Tapestry in 2027
PHĀEA is moving forward with two international partnerships in Crete, turning Blue Palace into Rosewood and Village Heights into a Hilton Tapestry Collection property.
PHĀEA, owned by the Sbokos and Vassilakis families, is preparing two international hotel partnerships in Crete. The Blue Palace in Elounda is being converted into Rosewood Blue Palace, while Village Heights in Ano Chersonisos is joining the Tapestry Collection by Hilton under the new name PHĀEA Mitato Crete. Both properties plan to open under their new identities in 2027.
On Hilton's official website, PHĀEA Mitato Crete is listed with 174 rooms and a planned opening in May 2027, not yet accepting bookings. The property is located near Crete Golf Club, with views of the sea and countryside, and its presentation emphasizes gastronomy and outdoor spaces.
In Elounda, Rosewood Blue Palace will mark Rosewood's first presence in Greece, reopening in 2027 after a redesign. It will feature 154 rooms and suites, 85 with private pools. The architectural design is being handled by K-Studio, while Aphrodite Krassa is designing the spaces of six restaurants and bars. The property will also include the Asaya spa and three outdoor pools with sea views.
PHĀEA had already secured a new building pre-approval for the Blue Palace-to-Rosewood conversion, as previously reported, and had recently received a positive environmental opinion for two more hotel investments in Viannos and Chersonisos.
