Raffles The Red Sea opens on Saudi Arabia's Shura Island
The new Raffles resort in Saudi Arabia offers 121 guestrooms, 14 suites and 33 private pool villas.
Raffles Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Raffles The Red Sea, a resort on the northwestern shores of Shura Island, set between a lagoon and the open sea. The project is part of Foster + Partners' Coral Bloom masterplan, designed to enhance the island's natural state.
The resort comprises 121 guestrooms, 14 suites and 33 private pool villas, with all accommodations including butler service. Raffles Hotels & Resorts CEO Omer Acar said the opening "reflects our ambition to create exceptional hospitality experiences in extraordinary destinations."
The spa and adults' pool will be unveiled in a future phase, while guests currently have access to the gym, padel and water sports. The children's and teens' centres will also open at a later stage.
Shura Island is powered entirely by renewable energy and is connected to Red Sea International Airport via electric vehicle across a 3.3-kilometre crossing.
