Rhodes: €1.24m investment upgrades Atalanti hotel to 4-star

Half of the investment to modernize the Atalanti hotel in Kalythies, upgrading it from 3 to 4 stars, has been certified as completed.

The Region of South Aegean has certified completion of 50% of the physical and financial progress of the investment plan to modernize and upgrade the ATALANTI hotel in Rhodes, with a total eligible cost of €1,244,443.81. The investment is carried out by VASILAKIS HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT single-member IKE.

The plan covers the full modernization of the property, currently a 3-star hotel that has ceased operations, and its upgrade to 4-star status. The unit is located in Kalythies, in the Kallithea municipal unit of the Municipality of Rhodes, and has 52 rooms and 99 beds.

The approved state aid amounts to €499,777.52, provided as a grant under development law 4399/2016. The new decision approves payment of €124,944.38, corresponding to the remaining half of the total aid, following an earlier 25% disbursement in April 2021.

The payment will be made from the project account for the 'New Independent SMEs Law 4399/2016' under the 2026 Public Investment Program, taking into account a €200,000 receivables assignment agreement with Eurobank signed in 2020.
