Terra Spatium invests €18m in new 5-star hotel in Skiathos
Geospatial firm Terra Spatium plans a 100-room hotel at Platanias–Agia Paraskevi, marking its first move into tourism.
Terra Spatium, a company known for its work in geospatial technology, satellite applications and more recently defense and security, is preparing its entry into the hotel industry with an €18 million investment in Skiathos.
The project is currently undergoing environmental licensing and is planned for the location "Platanias – Agia Paraskevi," on two adjacent plots covering roughly 22 acres. Terra Spatium itself is both the developer and owner of the unit.
Of the total budget, about €10 million will go toward construction and equipment of the buildings, while €8 million is earmarked for landscaping and related works. Once permits are secured, construction is expected to take around 18 months.
The unit will include 100 rooms and 230 beds, designed as smaller single- and two-story structures rather than one large building, intended to resemble a small tourist "village." Plans include a 182-square-meter main pool, 16 smaller pools, a restaurant, bar, pool bar, sushi bar, gym and wellness facilities.
Operation will be seasonal, from May 15 to October 15, marking the company's first step into luxury hospitality outside its traditional core business.
