The Zetter Collection expands into Europe with new Amsterdam hotel
Boutique chain The Zetter Collection is opening its first hotel outside Britain, in a historic canal house on Prinsengracht in Amsterdam.
Boutique chain The Zetter Collection has announced its first expansion outside the United Kingdom, with a new hotel opening in Amsterdam. The property, named The Zetter 717, will occupy a historic canal house on Prinsengracht, within the UNESCO-listed Canal District.
The building was originally constructed in 1810 in the Empire style, with a rear structure dating back to the 17th century. The hotel will feature 24 guestrooms and was redesigned by award-winning designer James Thurstan Waterworth, whose studio Thurstan also led the design of The Zetter Bloomsbury. Public spaces will include the Garden Room, for breakfast overlooking the hotel's private garden, and the Library, a more intimate setting for drinks and small bites.
Kevin Rockey, Managing Director of The Zetter Collection, said the move into Amsterdam is "an incredibly exciting moment and a natural next step for the collection." The hotel will be led on the ground by General Manager Yara Al Hattouni.
This marks the brand's first property outside Britain, bringing its character-led approach to hospitality to the Dutch capital.
