Travel + Leisure expands Eddie Bauer Adventure Club into Texas
The company announced its first "Outpost" property near Austin, featuring geodomes, yurts and cabins.
Travel + Leisure Co. announced the expansion of its Eddie Bauer Adventure Club brand with its first "Outpost" property, located in Wimberley, outside Austin, Texas. The property will feature geodomes, yurts and cabins, along with fire pits, outdoor camp kitchens, an onsite trail and yard games including bocce ball and pickleball.
The property's existing event space will become an owners' lounge with self-serve retail. The design aims to blend modern architecture with sustainable solar power. Renovations to add accommodations and enhance resort amenities are expected to take place throughout 2027, with reservations for vacation club owners and guests expected to open early next year.
Outposts represent the third part of the Eddie Bauer Adventure Club ecosystem, alongside Basecamps and Trail Partners. More intimate than Basecamps, Outposts will range from modern cabins and lodges to tiny homes and other one-of-a-kind accommodations.
Sarah Koves, senior vice president of brand strategy at Travel + Leisure Co., said "An Outpost is about getting closer to the places that inspire you," noting that owners in Wimberley can explore Hill Country roads and nearby towns like Fredericksburg and New Braunfels.
