Village Hotel Club to open three new UK hotels in 2027

The chain has acquired former Hilton and Marriott properties in Leicester and Cheshunt, plus a first hotel in Milton Keynes.

Village Hotel Club has announced the development of three new hotels in Leicester, Cheshunt and Milton Keynes, all expected to open by the end of 2027 as part of a wider UK expansion.

In Leicester, the company has acquired the former Hilton Hotel near Fosse Park, which is expected to open in summer 2027 following an extensive refurbishment. In Cheshunt, Village will transform and extend the former Delta Marriott hotel, creating a second property in Hertfordshire alongside Village Hotel Club London Watford. In Milton Keynes, the chain will open its first hotel in Buckinghamshire.

All three properties will undergo an "everything under one roof" transformation, incorporating Village's leisure and hospitality offering, including health and wellness facilities, an on-site Starbucks and its Pub and Grill concept.

The expansion follows the planned opening of Village Hotel Club Sheffield, which will bring the group's UK portfolio to 35 hotels ahead of the 2027 launches. The company said its most recent opening, Village Hotel Club Reading, had demonstrated the appeal of its model.

Gary Davis, chief executive of Village Hotel Club, said: "We have a strong track record in acquiring and transforming strategically important sites," adding that "we see significant opportunities to grow Village in the UK."
