Domes Aulus Zante, part of the Autograph Collection, sits at Laganas, on the bay of the same name in Zakynthos. Its setting is more than a detail: the resort lies within a Natura-protected area where loggerhead sea turtles come ashore to nest. The Serenity Retreats are open-plan with a terrace, the Cozy Suites add a living room and a second bathroom, and the Grand Nests and Zen Suites are laid out for families with two bedrooms. At the top sit the Sapphire Lush Suites, with two or three bedrooms and a large outdoor sitting area; the three-bedroom version sleeps up to eight.
All are equipped with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a safe, coffee and tea facilities, robes and slippers. A baby cot is available on request.
The Ultra All-Inclusive Table
The resort runs on Domes' Ultra All-Inclusive programme, designed to ask very little of the guest. The buffet is open around the clock, dinners at the three à la carte restaurants are unlimited, and the Greek wines are chosen by Domes' own experts. On the beach and by the pool, grab-and-go moments keep things simple.
In all, the resort has five plus one restaurants, along with a pool bar. For those who want to leave the grounds for an evening, a Night Out experience takes guests into the lively nightlife of Zante Town.
Water, Wellness and Children
The day divides between the beach, set with sunbeds and umbrellas, and the freshwater pool. There is also a spa and a gym.
For families, Domes KiEPOS serves as both crèche and kids' club. There is a separate children's pool, baby chairs in the restaurant, and babysitting on request.
