1 Hotels opens first Texas property with debut of 1 Hotel Austin

1 Hotel Austin, the first Texas property from 1 Hotels, has opened within the 74-story Waterline development. The hotel has 252 rooms, including 60 suites, and was developed by Lincoln and Kairoi Residential as part of the mixed-use Waterline project. Architecture is by Kohn Pedersen Fox, with HKS Architects as architect of record, and interiors by Studio MAI in collaboration with the Starwood Hotels design team.

1 Hotels founder and Starwood Hotels chairman Barry Sternlicht said "opening in Austin is a milestone for 1 Hotels," noting the site along Waller Creek and near Lady Bird Lake reflects the brand's focus on connecting nature and urban living.

The hotel features three food and beverage venues: Alteño, chef Johnny Curiel's restaurant rooted in Jalisco Highlands flavors; Neighbors Café and Wine Bar at street level; and watr, a rooftop concept that debuted at 1 Hotel South Beach and makes its second appearance in Austin.

The property also includes a wellness floor with a fitness center, yoga studio, and Bamford Wellness Spa, along with more than 10,000 square feet of event space on the 14th floor, including a ballroom and boardrooms.
